What you can ask for

The MCP tools your agent can call

You ask in plain language. The agent handles sending the video, finding the best moments, captioning, rendering and publishing, without you opening the dashboard.

  • Send a video Paste a link or upload the file and the project starts processing.
  • Read the transcript The agent gets the full transcript and understands what the video is about.
  • See the clips it generated Each clip comes back scored 0 to 100 for viral potential.
  • Build the final clip Vertical, captioned and in the right format for each network.
  • Publish to social Goes straight to the accounts you already connected in VDClip.
  • Schedule the whole month Many clips at once, at the best time slots for each day.

What your agent gets access to once connected

MCP is not a separate feature: it is the same VDClip production engine, callable by text.

Autoframing

The camera follows whoever is speaking, with split-screen when there are two people.

4formats: 9:16, 1:1, 16:9, 4:3

Virality score on every clip

Every clip gets a 0 to 100 score. Your agent decides what to post with data, not guesswork.

  • Bouncing between the chat and the app all day
With the VDClip MCP
  • Ask in the chat and the agent calls VDClip directly
  • It renders, publishes and schedules without leaving the conversation
  • The agent already gets the transcript and the score
  • One place to ask, review and approve

MCP is an open standard that lets AI agents such as Claude call tools from external apps in a standard way. The VDClip MCP server exposes the platform's functions so any compatible agent can use them.

Claude and ChatGPT have an officially documented connector. Any other client that speaks the MCP protocol can also connect using VDClip's remote endpoint.

No. In Claude and ChatGPT you just search for "VDClip" and approve access in an OAuth window, like connecting any other app. No code to copy or paste.

Yes. With your social accounts connected in VDClip, the agent can publish and schedule clips using the same tools as the social scheduler.

No. With the OAuth connection you approve exactly which permissions the agent gets, and you can revoke access at any time in the VDClip dashboard. For your own automations you can also use a scoped API key.

Yes. Actions the agent runs through MCP use the same minutes and limits as your VDClip plan, with no extra charge for the protocol itself.

It depends what you need. Servers like HeyGen and VEED generate new video from text, and Submagic edits and captions a video you already have. For turning long video into short clips, the two built for it are VDClip and OpusClip.

Both cut long video into clips with a virality score and connect over OAuth. The difference is that the VDClip MCP server also publishes and schedules the clips to your connected social accounts, without you leaving the conversation with the agent.
